JOE MURPHY
Guitars. Stories.
Discovery.
Joe is the founder and creative voice behind Murphy & Co. He follows the details that make an instrument distinctive—and the people, places, and questions that turn an object into a story.

A place for
the interesting.
“Where interesting people come to do and encounter interesting things.”
A book with an inscription. A guitar with years in its finish. Something that makes you wonder who held it before you.
Joe and Dr. Susan Murphy bring those interests together at Murphy & Co. in Huntington, West Virginia. Stories & Strings runs through the whole house: a carefully curated book boutique, a rare and vintage guitar shop, and the conversations that begin between them.
Come for something that catches your eye. Stay for the conversation it starts.
